I’m going to keep it short this week.
We don’t say thank you enough.
How many times a day do you say thank you? Or hold the door open for someone, or let that guy who clearly doesn’t know how to drive merge in front of you? There are a million reasons to have a bad attitude each day. There are also a million reasons to have a great attitude and be thankful. It’s up to you to decide what path you choose.
I’m not the only one saying this. It’s starting to spread. There is a lot of darkness out there, and slowly but surely the light is breaking through. This isn’t a political statement, or a religious statement. It’s just how the world is now, and it’s what we can do to make it a better place. Somehow, somewhere along the way it became cool to be an asshole. Maybe it’s the Clint Eastwood western characters of the 70s. Maybe it was greed of Wall Street in the 80s. Maybe it’s the Boiler Room Grant Cardone slimy sales tactics of today? I’m not sure how it occurred, but I am sure it can be different. And it starts with you.
Saying thank you is easy. Having gratitude for the people around you that make your life better is a simple way to live. It just takes that first step. If you do it, others will to. If you are the first, others will follow.
