Job Description:

Join a 36-bed Med Surg Intermediate Care unit in Wausau, Wisconsin, where you'll provide critical support during overnight shifts. As a skilled RN with at least two years of stepdown, intermediate, or PCU experience (ICU and trauma experience preferred), you'll navigate a variety of complex cases including sepsis, trauma, GI bleeds, and stroke. This role offers the opportunity to work on ventilators and trachs, with a patient ratio of 4:1, in a stable, fast-paced environment. The assignment includes rotating every other weekend and holiday, with on-call duties during low census periods—if called back, you'll be compensated accordingly. Expect to work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am for 13 weeks, with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Charting is primarily done in EPIC, and compliance with Wisconsin RN licensure, BLS, and ACLS is essential. This is a chance to experience a resilient, independent work environment with a mix of challenging and rewarding cases that will keep your skills sharp and your experience broad.
