Job Description:

Join a correctional healthcare team as a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units within a secure Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections facility. In this role, you'll float across Oncology Medical-Surgical units and be responsible for monitoring patients with active cancer diagnoses, managing complex treatments, and ensuring safety in a locked environment. Your tasks will include administering medications via Pyxis, charting in EPIC, and responding to emergent situations involving cardiac rhythms, respiratory support, and IV therapies. This assignment offers a unique opportunity to gain experience in a correctional setting while working night shifts that cover 12-hour hours. Expect to engage in a mix of oncology-related and general medical procedures, providing critical support in a secure environment that demands vigilance and professionalism.
