Job Description:

This 13-week contract positions experienced Medical-Surgical nurses at a 53-bed unit in Waukesha, Wisconsin, primarily working evening shifts from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM. As a key team member, you'll manage a fast-paced environment with a patient ratio of approximately 1:7 to 8, providing essential care to adult patients. The role involves complex tasks such as monitoring insulin and cardiac drips, documenting accurately in EPIC, and adjusting to unit needs, including float assignments to nearby facilities. This assignment offers a vibrant setting where your resilience, ability to manage change, and strong documentation skills will shine. Active BLS certification and a Wisconsin or Compact license are required, along with 3-5 years of Medical-Surgical experience and familiarity with tele readings.
