Job Description:

This travel nursing opportunity places you in the hematology and oncology unit at a respected facility in Jackson, Mississippi, working 12-hour night shifts over a 13-week contract. You'll be administering chemotherapy, managing high-acuity patients, and supporting care within a 32-bed unit. The role involves handling complex cases such as hem/onc patients, lines, chest tubes, and titratable cardiac drips like heparin and amio. Proficiency with EPIC charting is essential, and experience with level 1 trauma in a larger facility will help you thrive. The team operates with a typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:6, with charge RNs managing additional responsibilities. You'll work alongside tele monitors and may be called upon to administer infusions and respond to acute needs. The department values ongoing learning; managers will support your growth, especially in chemo administration.
