Job Description:

Join a fast-paced stepdown unit as a registered nurse specializing in medical-surgical care with a focus on trauma. This contract assignment involves caring for patients recovering from surgery and managing complex medical conditions in a hospital setting. You'll be working 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM) on a flexible schedule, with every other weekend requirement. The role offers an engaging mix of hands-on patient observation, medication administration, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams, all while floating to various units within the facility. An ideal candidate will bring at least two years of experience in a level one trauma environment and hold an active Kentucky or compact license. Certifications such as BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS are mandatory, along with specific experience in PC/AC/Telemetry and Medical-Surgical units. No long-term commitment—just an opportunity to make a difference in a challenging, rewarding setting.
