Job Description:

This travel assignment is in a MedSurg/Tele Float Pool setting, offering 12-hour night shifts. As a registered nurse, you will be working within a unit that frequently floats to various floors including 6N, 7N, 4N, 5S, 6S, and Critical Care, covering patient loads typically ranging from 29 to 36 beds. The role involves managing patients with diagnoses such as CHF, pneumonia, COPD, post-cardiac cath recovery, orthopedics, oncology, and renal concerns. You will pass a cardiac rhythm exam before starting, with the expectation that ACLS-certified RNs can easily demonstrate proficiency in reading and interpreting strips. While you won't titrate drips, you'll be responsible for monitoring patients, managing respiratory equipment like BiPAP and CPAP, and collaborating with RTs to administer respiratory treatments. The commitment involves working every other weekend and participating in holiday rotations as part of the team. This assignment offers a chance to hone your telemetry skills in a fast-paced environment with units that adjust staffing based on patient acuity.
