Job Description:

This Medical Surgical RN contract places you in a facility where you'll manage adult to geriatric patients on a busy unit with a patient ratio of 1:5-6. You'll work in a setting equipped with Epic electronic health records, Pyxis medication system, and SBAR communication protocols. The shift is a 12-hour night schedule, offering a chance to gain experience with conditions such as diabetes, post-op recovery, wounds requiring vacs, and bariatric cases. Whether you're a seasoned nurse or a first-timer, this assignment allows you to step into a clinical role that combines technical skill with the pace of a vibrant surgical ward. Expect to be floating within your scope when needed, but no call duties are required. The unit maintains an average daily census of 28 in a 33-bed unit, ensuring you're consistently busy without feeling overwhelmed.
