Job Description:

This 13-week travel contract is an engaging assignment in Prescott Valley’s Med Surg Tele/PCU unit, where you'll be working 12-hour night shifts. The role focuses on caring for adult patients recovering from surgeries like hip and knee replacements, or managing medical conditions such as COPD, pneumonia, and infections like MRSA and C-diff. Telemetry skills are essential, as you'll need to interpret monitor strips and potentially precept nursing students. This unit features three 10-bed areas with a patient ratio of approximately 1:5-6, offering a balanced mix of high-acuity and stable patients. The setting provides opportunities to hone your telemetry expertise and experience the unique pace of a busy hospital environment. You'll also participate in a comprehensive orientation, including a dysrhythmia exam prior to start, and may float to other units including the Pediatric and Multi Care Unit. We've designed this role for experienced RNs willing to handle a varied patient population in a collaborative setting while maintaining high standards of care.
