Job Description:

Join a high-acuity ICU team in Rapid City, South Dakota, for a 22-week travel contract as an experienced ICU Registered Nurse. This role features 12-hour night shifts in a mixed-unit ICU with both medical and surgical patients, including complex cases such as trauma, post-surgical, cardiac, and neuro conditions. You'll be providing critical care in a setting where patient ratios are flexible based on acuity—ranging from 1:1 to 1:3—and working with advanced technology like Epic, hemodynamic lines, ventilators, and possibly Impella or CRRT. This position requires prior ICU experience, a minimum of 2 years excluding travel, and certifications including BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC. Be prepared to work a demanding 48-hour week and occasionally float to other adult units as needed. You’ll play a vital role in managing complex cases, supporting a skilled team of physicians, RTs, and nurses, and potentially precepting students.
