Job Description:

Join a specialized ICU team in Rapid City, SD, for a 14-week travel contract centered on high-acuity care for complex surgical, medical, cardiac, neuro, and trauma patients. As an ICU RN, you will manage ventilated patients, administer IV medications like vasopressors and sedatives, and work with advanced equipment such as Impella and CRRT. The role requires you to work 12-hour night shifts, providing critical care during the quiet yet intense overnight hours. This assignment offers the chance to refine your skills in a mixed ICU unit divided into pods, with minimal floating into other departments, while enjoying the unique rhythm of overnight critical care. Expect to collaborate closely with a seasoned team of physicians, RTs, and support staff, overseeing patient ratios from 1:1 to 1:3 depending on acuity. Prior ICU experience of at least two years is required, with certification in BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC necessary. Epic charting experience is essential, along with comfort working 48 hours per week in a fast-paced environment.
