Job Description:

This 13-week travel assignment seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse with at least 2 years of strong cardiac or PCU experience to join the Cardiac Progressive Care Unit in Spokane, WA. The role involves caring for patients with complex cardiac diagnoses, including post-operative open-heart surgery, arrhythmias, and vascular procedures. The nightly 12-hour shift offers a unique opportunity to work with a variety of cardiac patients, interpret rhythms, and manage cardiac drips like nitro, heparin, and amiodarone. The unit emphasizes teamwork, respectful communication, and a calm demeanor. Support includes a team of CNAs, floating charge nurses, and on-call specialists. Experience with EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, and bedside Philips monitors is preferred. Travelers should be comfortable floating to MedSurg and overflow ICU areas. Orientation consists of two 12-hour shifts, and weekend rotations are every other week. Holiday coverage involves two of three holidays. No on-call is required, but extra shifts can be picked up. The schedule cycles every six weeks, and the hospital maintains a flexible, supportive environment designed for professional growth and patient focus.
