Job Description:

Join our vibrant team as a travel healthcare professional specializing in Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) in beautiful Santa Cruz, California. This unique position invites you to engage in the immediate post-operative recovery of cardiac surgery patients, encompassing a blend of specialized care and general medical-surgical ICU responsibilities. You will primarily work 12-hour night shifts, ensuring the highest standards of care for patients recovering from procedures like valve replacements and coronary artery bypass grafts (CABG).

As part of this assignment, you will collaborate with a small, dedicated team including a cardiothoracic surgeon and a surgical physician assistant. You'll use your skills in monitoring patients' vital signs, managing invasive devices like IABP and CRRT, and ensuring a smooth recovery process with the latest EMR technology. With an expectation of 36 hours of work each week, your schedule will include every other weekend and holiday shifts, making your contributions vital for patient well-being during critical recovery moments.
