Job Description:

Join our team as a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse in Athens, Georgia, where each day brings new opportunities to support a diverse patient population ranging from adolescents to geriatrics. In this engaging role, you'll work in a medical-surgical overflow unit, focusing on post-operative care for total hip, knee, and shoulder arthroplasties, as well as trauma patients. Your soft scrubs of navy blue will distinguish you as you collaborate with team members using established systems like Epic and Pyxis, ensuring smooth operations during your 12-hour night shifts.

You will experience a welcoming environment, with an average patient census of 24 in a 27-bed unit. You'll expertly handle a patient ratio of 1:5-6, allowing you to deliver attentive care in a supportive setting. Your role will also involve floating within the facility, providing vital support wherever needed. While working every other weekend is part of the job, the camaraderie and shared commitment to quality care will make your shifts rewarding.
