Job Description:
Join our dynamic Pediatric Stepdown team in a vibrant Chicago facility dedicated to the care of our youngest patients, ranging from 2 weeks to 18 years old. As a Pediatric Stepdown Registered Nurse, you will work in a unique 39-bed inpatient unit where you will encounter a variety of specialties. Approximately 50-60% of the patients in this unit are technology-dependent, requiring specialized nursing skills. Your experience with vents, trach, and G-tubes will be put to good use as you provide care to children with chronic illnesses.
This is a 12-hour day shift role, with an expected commitment of 48 hours per week, and you’ll be scheduled every other weekend. Whether you are an experienced RN or a first-timer excited to take on this challenge, your contributions will have a significant impact on our patients’ lives. Your journey in this rewarding position will be filled not just with professional growth, but also a sprinkle of unexpected joy inherent in working with children.
