Job Description:

Join our team as a Registered Nurse in the bustling 12 James Surgical Oncology Progressive Care Unit located in Columbus, Ohio. This is your opportunity to make a significant impact on patients' lives while experiencing the thrill of a high-activity surgical floor. As a member of our team, you will handle a mixed acuity patient population, caring for both PCU and Med Surg patients.

You will work 12-hour night shifts, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, for 13 weeks, dedicating 36 hours each week to your role. Each night brings new challenges as you engage in a variety of essential procedures, including chemotherapy, blood transfusions, and the management of patients dealing with oncologic emergencies. This unique assignment allows you to enhance your skills in a supportive environment with fully PCU-trained permanent staff, ensuring you receive the guidance you need.

Expect collaborative scheduling, where you can enter preference requests to balance the final schedule with unit needs. You will start with a structured orientation, spending your first week learning the ropes during day shifts, followed by on-unit training with a preceptor during the second week. Bring your 2 years of experience, along with certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS, and step into a role that is as rewarding as it is demanding—where every night can feel like an exciting ride through the night sky!
