Job Description:

Join a vibrant team as a skilled Med Surg Tele nurse in Waterloo, Iowa, where your expertise will be put to good use in a lively setting! This contract assignment offers the chance to work night shifts with a twist—expect to float occasionally to Behavioral Health, Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit, and post-procedural areas. You'll need to be comfortable managing drips such as heparin, insulin, lasix, amiodarone, diltiazem, and digoxin. Moreover, a solid grasp of EKG/ECG interpretation is vital as you tackle rhythm strips and dysrhythmias.

The role requires at least 24 months of current Med Surg Tele experience and familiarity with the EPIC EMR system. While first-time travelers are welcome, priority will be given to those who also bring hospital or medical center experience. If you have your de-escalation certificates and NIH Stroke Scale certification, you’re already ahead of the curve, but don't worry—these can be acquired during onboarding!
