Job Description:

Join a correctional healthcare setting where you'll provide specialized nursing care in a secure environment. As a registered nurse in the Psychiatric Care Unit (PCU) at James Corrections Health Unit, you'll float between Oncology Medical-Surgical units and the PCU, managing a mix of oncology-related and general medical patients. The role involves a blend of challenging conditions, including oncology treatments, active diagnoses, and complex medication protocols—think of it as navigating a medical maze with a patient-focused compass. You'll work 12-hour rotating shifts, including weekends, ensuring safety and quality care in a facility where security and medical expertise go hand in hand. EPIC charting experience is required, and oncology experience is preferred but not mandatory. Expect to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, handle emergency responses, and adapt to varying patient needs in a correctional environment that emphasizes safety and efficiency.

Duration: 13 to 16 weeks, with a total of approximately 36 hours per week and an estimated gross pay of $1,968.61 per week.
