Job Description:

Join us on an exhilarating journey as a Respiratory Care Specialist, where your expertise will shape the outcomes of patients’ respiratory health. In this unique role, you will meticulously disassemble, wash, rinse, dry, and package respiratory equipment, ensuring each tool is primed for use. You'll evaluate the effectiveness of respiratory care delivered as per care plans, and act as a role model in the field, demonstrating clinical judgment and the technical skills essential to this profession.

Your daily adventures will include preparing and testing therapy equipment for safe operation, alongside rigorously checking equipment on the units for proper functionality. When malfunctions arise, you’ll cut through the confusion and swiftly report to management. You will chart meticulously on respiratory flow sheets in the EMR and manage the inventory of respiratory care supplies—making sure everything is stocked and ready for action.

The thrill doesn’t stop there! You’ll assess patients, particularly those on ventilators, in both inpatient units and the Emergency Room. Your skills will shine as you analyze blood gases and consult with practitioners to ensure the highest level of care.
