Job Description:

Join an exciting opportunity in Albany, Georgia, where you'll be diving into the dynamic world of oncology nursing. This travel healthcare contract involves working on a dedicated 7th floor oncology unit that boasts 29 beds. As a skilled oncology nurse, you will be at the forefront of managing acute oncology symptoms and collaborating with a team to provide exceptional care to patients undergoing treatment. Your shifts will fall during the night, spanning 12 hours, where you’ll engage in a range of activities pertinent to the role—now that’s a night shift with a purpose!

You will need two years of experience in the oncology specialty, hold current BLS certification, and preferably have NIHSS and ONS certifications if you wish to administer chemotherapy. Expect to work in a supportive environment with a staffing grid structure, where you'll typically care for five patients, occasionally up to six. Orientation will be provided for you to ensure confidence in navigating the EMR system and floor-specific protocols. You’ll enjoy a color-coordinated atmosphere, donning your scrubs in cheerful Caribbean Blue while you attend to your patients!
