Job Description:

Join a reputable Level IV Trauma Center in Milwaukee as a Med Surg RN for an engaging 13-week contract working 12-hour night shifts. In this role, you'll be caring for a diverse patient population, including surgical cases such as bariatric, bladder, and orthopedic surgeries, along with diabetics, kidney and liver failure, cardiac, stroke, and respiratory conditions. Your expertise in post-op care, cardiac rhythm interpretation, wound management, and chest tube care will be vital. You'll support a busy unit with a team of dedicated professionals, including CNAs, RTs, hospitalists, and therapists, all working together to provide excellent care. Expect to navigate EPIC, Alaris, and Pyxis systems, with a focus on delivering quality patient outcomes in a fast-paced environment. This assignment offers a unique experience for first-time travelers to step into a teaching hospital that emphasizes professional growth in a supportive setting.
