Job Description:

Join a respected Short Term Acute Care facility in St. Louis as a Behavioral Health Registered Nurse on a 12-hour night shift. This role involves working primarily in inpatient psychiatric units with adult and geriatric populations, including patients with co-morbid medical conditions such as dementia, depression, Parkinson's Disease, bipolar disorder, or anxiety. The nurse will be responsible for medication administration, IV starts and maintenance, blood glucose monitoring, Foley catheter care, and working within a locked unit. You might also take on leadership duties as a charge nurse when needed. Expect to float within the behavioral health service lines and to various units, supporting patient care needs across the hospital. The environment offers a mix of challenging cases and rewarding moments, all within a renowned facility known for its magnet designation and teaching status.
