Job Description:

Join this oncology unit on a 12-hour day shift in Albany, Georgia, where you'll be working primarily on the 7th floor and outpatient areas. The role offers a chance to focus deeply on hematology and oncology patients, managing acute symptoms such as thrombocytopenia, neutropenia, and sickle cell crisis. You'll be involved in a close-knit team, with ratios typically at 1:5, sometimes 1:6, and will provide essential support during complex treatments like chemo, requiring certifications like BLS and preferably NIHSS or ONS. Expect a 48-hour weekly commitment over a period of approximately 17 weeks. Outpatient treatments may extend into floor care if necessary, and floating to other units is rare but possible. The work environment emphasizes precision and compassionate patient support in a busy oncology setting.
