Job Description:

Join a dedicated medical-surgical team in Hastings, Nebraska, for a 13-week travel assignment that offers the chance to provide skilled nursing support in a 30-bed facility with largely private rooms. You'll work 12-hour night shifts, from 7 PM to 7 AM, filling in schedule gaps and potentially taking on charge nurse responsibilities if you have the experience. Expect to care for patients with diagnoses such as dementia, post-surgical needs, falls, influenza, pneumonia, failure to thrive, cancer, and COVID, with a focus on wound management, pain control, TPN, and chest tubes. The environment includes electronic monitoring, RT equipment like CPAP, and a staffing model that includes nurse aides. The unit operates with a flexible dress code of plain solid colors and provides a brief two-day orientation plus a day on the floor to get you up to speed. This assignment promises a rewarding experience supporting patient recovery and comfort in a close-knit hospital setting.
