Job Description:

Join a reputable behavioral health team at a leading Level I Trauma Center in St. Louis. This 13-week contract offers the opportunity to work as a Behavioral Health Registered Nurse in a fast-paced inpatient setting. You'll be responsible for providing care to adult patients aged 18-64 with various psychiatric diagnoses, including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, and anxiety. Your tasks will include medication administration, IV placement and maintenance, blood glucose monitoring, and wound care. The role involves working 12-hour day shifts every other day, allowing for a balanced work-life rhythm. This assignment welcomes first-time travelers and values your contribution to a team dedicated to compassionate, specialized mental health care in a hospital that is also a teaching and trauma facility. Your expertise in handling patients with medical and psychological co-morbidities, including those requiring pre-op prep for ECT, will be essential to patient recovery and safety.
