Job Description:

Step into a role within an inpatient observation unit that specializes in managing acute conditions such as anemia, cellulitis, COPD, CHF, dehydration, pre-operative assessments, urology, and GI issues. This 13-week contract at Aspirus Wausau Hospital offers the opportunity to work on a 12-hour night shift schedule, floating across all inpatient units as needed. You'll be responsible for interpreting EKG strips, managing drips including Cardiac, Nitro, Insulin, and Heparin, and providing care to patients with an average stay of up to 48 hours. The environment requires a resilient professional who can handle high patient turnover, adapt to constant changes, and collaborate effectively with a dedicated team. This assignment is perfect for experienced RNs who thrive in fast-paced, variable shifts and are comfortable with the demands of an observation setting.

Job Specifics:

Location: Wausau, Wisconsin. Shift: 12-hour nights, variable start times between 7:00 PM and 7:30 AM. Duration: 13 weeks, approximately 36 hours per week, with additional on-call opportunities during low census periods. The weekly gross pay is estimated at $2,183.80, with a guaranteed set of hours except during holidays when the unit may be closed.
