Job Description:

Join a reputable orthopedic unit for a travel RN contract working 12-hour night shifts in Peoria, Illinois. This role offers the opportunity to care for a diverse patient population, including postoperative orthopedic cases, trauma with fractures, and various medical-surgical conditions. You'll be responsible for managing patient care in private rooms, with nurse-to-patient ratios averaging 1:4 to 1:6 during nights. The unit values experienced nurses comfortable with postoperative surgical care and general medical-surgical nursing, ideally with 1-2 years of clinical experience. You’ll work alongside a dedicated charge nurse and house supervisor, with support from patient care techs. The setting includes advanced telemetry monitoring with Phillips monitors and high-flow oxygen devices like CPAP and BiPAP, with some troubleshooting expected from RNs. This assignment combines clinical expertise with a touch of camaraderie—think of it as your next adventure in nursing, with a reliable schedule and guaranteed hours during orientation.
