Job Description:

Join a fast-paced oncology nursing team at Renown Regional Medical Center's Cancer Nursing Unit. In this role, you'll be providing specialized care to adult oncology patients, administering chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments, and monitoring patient responses throughout their treatment journeys. The 27-bed unit is equipped with individual computers in each room, allowing for seamless documentation and planning. Expect a mix of direct admissions for chemotherapy and hospitalizations due to disease-related complications. This assignment offers the chance to work with a variety of regimens, including high-dose methotrexate and protocols like R-CHOP and R-EPOCH. The environment is challenging but rewarding, with opportunities to develop your expertise in cancer care within an organization that handles a volume comparable to a Level I trauma center. Flexibility to float to other units up to your competency level is part of the experience, and you may be asked to pick up an additional shift during the schedule. This role does not require ACLS or remote telemetry testing but does require a Nevada RN license and BLS certification. If you have at least 2 years of RN experience, including one year in oncology, and are comfortable working in a busy, high-intensity environment, this could be an excellent fit for you.
