Job Description:

Critical care registered nurses in this contract will find themselves at the heart of intense and rewarding work, managing patients with severe medical conditions such as heart attacks, strokes, shock, and traumatic injuries. This role involves assessing patient conditions, planning and executing detailed care plans, and providing advanced life support and wound treatment. You'll assist physicians during procedures, monitor vital signs, ensure medical equipment functions perfectly—including ventilators and monitors—and administer medications and fluids. Collaborate closely with the critical care team and respond swiftly to life-saving situations, all while acting as a patient advocate and supporting family members. Some nurses may also have opportunities to care for pre- and post-operative patients or engage in administrative duties, making this an engaging and multifaceted critical care experience with a touch of playfulness in the precision and heroism involved.
