Job Description:

Join this exciting MedSurg/Telemetry RN contract at a well-respected facility in Albemarle, North Carolina. You'll work 12-hour night shifts, providing vital care for general medical and surgical patients—including those with stroke, CHF, COPD, and post-surgical needs—while experiencing a cohesive team environment. This role offers the chance to utilize your skills in post-op care, Orthopedic procedures, TPN, PPN, and cardiac rhythm interpretation, all within a supportive setting that values teamwork and expertise. The facility operates with approximately 109 beds and holds an Advanced Primary Stroke Center certification. As a traveler, you’ll experience the rhythm of a busy hospital with opportunities to float to nearby units, including ICU, PCU, and ED, depending on staffing needs. Your role will involve managing patient care on a med/surg/tele unit with a patient ratio of 1:5, performing assessments such as NIHSS, and handling various equipment like EMR (EPIC), IV pumps (Alaris), and bedside monitors. BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required, and experience with stroke, orthopedic care, and wound management will be highly valuable.
