Job Description:

This contract role places you in a 12-hour night shift setting within a busy medical-surgical step-down unit in Franklin, Indiana. You'll work with patients diagnosed with PNA, COPD, CHF, orthopedic surgeries, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, diverticulitis, bowel resection, and pancreatitis. Your focus will be on providing high-quality nursing care, managing chronic Bipap and Cpap equipment, and utilizing remote monitoring technology. Experience with MS, PCU, Tele, or CCU units will help you thrive here, as you'll navigate complex patient conditions in a fast-paced environment. The unit operates with nurse aides on both day and night shifts, maintaining a 1:12 PCT ratio, and offers a supportive team with a charge nurse available all shifts and a supervisor on nights. Expect to participate in self-scheduling within your shift window, with a rotation including weekend shifts and holiday coverage. During your orientation, you'll undergo a brief clinical education period followed by practice supported by a preceptor, ensuring you're well-prepared to lead in this crucial role.
