Job Description:

Join San Juan Regional Medical Center in Farmington, NM, for an engaging RN contract on the Surgical Inpatient Unit. This role offers hands-on experience caring for post-operative patients, including those recovering from ortho, neuro, and abdominal surgeries. As a charge nurse, you'll coordinate care on a busy 24-bed unit, managing patient needs from adult to geriatric populations, with a maximum of six patients at a time. The shift runs 12 hours during the day, providing a rhythm that allows for deep clinical involvement and patient connection. The diverse caseload—ranging from trauma to complex medical conditions—keeps each shift interesting, with opportunities to utilize your skills in IV therapy, chest tubes, Foley catheters, and respiratory management.
