Job Description:
Join this sought-after PACU RN contract in Hilo, where you'll be integral to caring for patients recovering from surgery. Your role involves overseeing pre-op, phase I, and phase II recovery, ensuring safety and stability during critical moments. You’ll utilize advanced critical care skills to monitor incision sites, body temperature, and other vital signs, often working with sophisticated equipment like Meditech, PCA Pumps, and Phillips Monitors. The position offers a lively pace with varied shifts—day, evening, or night—and the chance to prepare for the unique challenges of post-anesthesia care. Candidates should bring at least two years of critical care experience, possess valid licenses, and maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications. Past surgical or ICU experience, along with PALS certification, will set you apart for this opportunity. Flu vaccination or approved exemptions are a must prior to starting, and a Hawaii license is required at the commencement of employment.
