Job Description:

This 16-week assignment is tailored for experienced surgical ICU nurses ready to float between the Surgical ICU and MICU in a large teaching hospital. You'll be working 12-hour night shifts, providing vital support during overnight hours. The role involves caring for post-cardiac surgery, trauma, vascular, and neurosurgical patients, with a focus on hemodynamic monitoring and complex patient management. Flexibility is key, as schedules may be adjusted to meet unit needs, and floating to MICU is required. This assignment offers the opportunity to work with advanced EMR systems, specifically EPIC, and requires prior travel experience and a minimum of two years in similar high-acuity settings. You'll need to bring a solid color scrub and ensure all licensing and certifications are current, including AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS, with CCRN preferred. Equipment such as IVs will be provided, and you must be comfortable working potentially all week in a fast-paced, demanding environment that emphasizes teamwork and adaptability.
