Job Description:

Join a 32-bed Surgical unit where you'll focus exclusively on Med Surg patients who have recently undergone vascular, thoracic, colorectal, or general surgeries. This assignment offers a chance to work with diagnoses like ARDS, esophagectomies, Whipple procedures, and sepsis. You'll manage post-surgical care, including chest tubes, drains, lines, and complex wounds, while caring for patients with trachs and laryngectomies. The role involves caring for patients with various drips such as Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, and amiodarone, and involves telemetry and blood draws. Expect a supportive team environment, sharing responsibilities with other healthcare professionals, and floating as needed to meet unit demands.
