Job Description:

This RN role on the Medical-Surgical/Tele unit offers a chance to work in a bustling teaching hospital known for its trauma, stroke, and chest pain centers. You'll be managing a mix of medical patients—think CHF, COPD, infections, wounds, and more—and occasionally some general surgery cases. The 20-bed unit functions with a patient ratio of 1:5, and you'll handle advanced skills like chest tubes, wound care, IV starts, and cardiac rhythm interpretation. Expect to work night shifts from 1830 to 0700, with every other weekend and holidays shared. The setting provides bedside telemetry monitoring and utilizes technology such as EPIC EMR and Omnicell for medication management. Join a team supported by experienced staff, including RTs, hospitalists, and residents, in a city where the weather is generally mild and welcoming year-round.
