Job Description:

Join a prominent academic medical center in Winston-Salem as a MedSurg/Tele RN for a 13-week contract working 12-hour day shifts. You’ll be caring for a diverse patient population, primarily on a 20-bed unit that handles medical conditions like CHF, COPD, infections, wounds, and some general surgeries. This role involves managing chest tubes, trachs, IV starts, wound care, wound vacs, drains, and interpreting cardiac rhythms—no two days are exactly alike. Whether it’s checking off on strips or drawing from central lines, your skills will be front and center in this fast-paced environment. Be prepared for a well-organized team support system, including CNAs, a charge nurse, RTs, and hospitalists, all working together to deliver exceptional care. This assignment offers a unique chance to experience a Level 1 Trauma Center with teaching hospital amenities, all while working with advanced technology like EPIC EMR and Alaris IV pumps.
