Job Description:

We are seeking a Step Down Registered Nurse for an immediate assignment in the IMCU Float Pool. This role involves providing specialized care for adult patients in a 24-bed unit, with the flexibility to float to Med-Surg as patient volume demands. The RN will cover night shifts from 7 pm to 7 am, working three 12-hour shifts per week. Expect to manage an average census of 20-24 patients, with a patient ratio targeting 4:1. Candidates must be comfortable caring for occasional pediatric patients and possess recent proficiency in EMR systems, specifically EPIC. The role also requires current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications, along with telemetry skills and a minimum of two years of RN experience. Local candidates residing within 40 miles of Boone, NC, are preferred, and a valid driver’s license, Qualivis Cover Sheet, current NURSYS report, and RTO requests submitted with profile are mandatory.
