Job Description:

This ICU RN role involves providing advanced critical care in a mixed-unit ICU that includes MICU, SICU, CICU, and TICU pods. The position requires managing complex ICU patients such as post-surgical, trauma, cardiac, neuro, and medical cases, with diagnoses like ARDS, MI, CVA/TIA, COVID, and trauma. You will work 12-hour day shifts on a 13-week contract, with patient ratios typically ranging from 1:1 to 1:3 depending on acuity. Expect to use your skills in ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, IV medications including vasopressors and sedatives, proning, and telemetry. Epic EHR experience is essential, along with certifications in BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC. Prior ICU experience of at least two years—excluding travel—is required, and travel must be outside a 100-mile radius from the facility. This role offers a hands-on opportunity to handle a wide variety of critical cases, participate in staff precepting, and work alongside a dedicated team of physicians, nurses, RTs, and support staff. The assigned unit is well-equipped with resources like blood draws, resource nurses, and state-of-the-art equipment, ensuring you have what you need to succeed.
