Job Description:

Join our team as an ECMO Specialist in Minneapolis, where you'll be immersed in adult critical care settings involving advanced respiratory and neuro diagnostics. This role primarily involves managing ECMO machines and related airway procedures, including intubation and suctioning, while providing support for patients with conditions like ARDS, pneumonia, and COVID. You'll work 3 nightly shifts of 12 hours each, with the opportunity to occasionally rotate to day shifts, all in a hospital recognized for its magnet status and trauma level III designation. This position is designed for seasoned respiratory therapists with at least two years of experience, including a minimum of one year specializing in ECMO management, or first-timers with relevant expertise ready for a new challenge. Flexibility to float within your scope and willingness to work every other weekend are essential. Your skills in medication administration, ventilator management, arterial puncture, and airway management devices will be critical to your success in this role. Expect a fast-paced environment where your technical expertise directly impacts patient outcomes in complex cardiac and respiratory cases.
