Job Description:

Join our team on a 12-hour night shift as a cardiovascular stepdown nurse at a renowned hospital in the Asheville area. In this role, you'll be responsible for managing patients recovering from open heart surgery, thoracic lung procedures, aneurysm repairs, and vascular surgeries. You'll monitor complex cardiac and vascular conditions, administer medications, handle epidural and chest tube management, and record critical data using Cerner EMR. The environment is fast-paced and requires a skilled, adaptable nurse who is comfortable working with advanced equipment like Baxter IV pumps and CADD epidural devices. Experience in CV surgery or vascular surgery units within the past year is highly preferred.
