Job Description:

Join a reputable acute care hospital in Springfield, Illinois, as a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse specializing in Urology and Nephrology. In this role, you will work night shifts (12-hour nights from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM), primarily focusing on managing patients with renal issues, including pre/post-hemodialysis care and renal failure cases. You will be responsible for IV therapy, blood product administration, and utilizing cardiac monitoring equipment like telemetry systems. The unit is a 25-bed medical-surgical setting, and you will sometimes float within scope to other similar units to meet patient needs. This assignment offers a balanced schedule with approximately 36 hours a week, giving you weekends off every other week. It’s an opportunity to bring your expertise in renal and genitourinary care to a Magnet-recognized facility that values professionalism and skill. Expect to use Cerner charting systems and demonstrate confidence with emergency response, infection control, and wound management.
