Job Description:

This travel nursing opportunity places you in a 32-bed inpatient acute care unit located in Bloomington, Illinois. The role involves providing specialized care to patients with diverse medical conditions such as respiratory issues, cardiovascular problems, neurological conditions, and postoperative recovery. You'll work a 12-hour night shift, rotating weekends and holidays, making this a dynamic but steady adventure. Expect to handle patient populations that include those with COPD, CHF, diabetes, trauma, and post-surgical needs. Using EMR systems like EPIC and medication dispensing tools such as Pyxis, you'll perform your duties in a setting where attention to detail and comfort with telemetry monitoring, chest tubes, and advanced lines like PICC and central lines are essential. This position offers an engaging blend of autonomy and teamwork, with a typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 3-4:1, and all staff don scrubs in any color. The orientation process includes a one-day education session and a floor orientation, preparing you for the fast-paced environment of inpatient acute care.
