Job Description:

This surgical assistant position involves supporting a team during complex procedures in a busy operating room setting. You'll work 12-hour day shifts, assisting surgical teams with cardiac, vascular, endovascular, and thoracic surgeries. Expect to be actively involved in the intraoperative activities, ensuring the smooth flow of procedures and maintaining a sterile environment. The role requires a proactive approach, with some call coverage expected once a week and periodically on weekends approximately every four weeks. This assignment offers a chance to refine your skills in high-acuity surgeries while experiencing a collaborative surgical environment. The position emphasizes clinical excellence and adherence to privileging processes, making it an especially rewarding challenge for those with at least two years of experience and valid certifications such as CSFA, NBSTSA, or NCCSA.
