Job Description:

This contract involves working as a registered nurse in a hospital setting, primarily during 12-hour night shifts. You'll be responsible for managing post-operative care, sepsis, pneumonia, COPD, diabetes, and infection cases, with a focus on maintaining sterile techniques during critical procedures like Foley catheter insertions and central line dressing changes. The role includes completing SIMs Labs to demonstrate proficiency, especially in sterile field practices, and potentially floating across various medical-surgical units. Expect to work in private rooms with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4-5, and you'll be expected to carry out titrations of heparin and manage respiratory equipment assigned to RTs. This assignment offers a hands-on experience in a lively, evolving unit with a dedicated team, and includes adhering to specific protocols around certifications, dressing codes, and patient care procedures. The setting emphasizes skill competency, sterile technique, and adaptability as part of your routine.
