Job Description:

Join a high-acuity ICU team in Quincy, Illinois, where you'll provide specialized care in a Level I or Level II Trauma center. This 16-bed unit on the second floor MICU focuses on complex cases such as neuro trauma, ARDS management, ECMO support, and critical post-surgical interventions. Expect to work 12-hour night shifts, performing bedside procedures like trach insertions, CT placements, and organ recovery activities — all in a fast-paced environment that values expertise and adaptability. You'll be a key player in managing titratable ICU drips, responding to emergencies like mass transfusions, or paralyzing patients for neuro stabilization. The facility emphasizes collaborative care with in-house intensivists and hospitalists, and you'll experience the unique rhythm of night shifts serving as house supervisor sometimes. If you thrive on complex cases and have experience with trauma, neuro ICU protocols, and CRRT, this assignment offers an engaging opportunity to deepen your critical care expertise while working alongside skilled professionals.
