Job Description:

Join a cardiac stepdown unit where you'll focus on patients recovering from cardiovascular procedures such as CABG, thoracotomy, VATS, and AAA repairs. This role involves managing a diverse caseload, including CHF, arrhythmias, and post-surgical recovery. You’ll work 12-hour night shifts in a fast-paced environment with an emphasis on monitoring cardiac rhythms, administering drips like Cardizem and amiodarone, and interpreting telemetry strips. The unit boasts a high patient turnover, providing a stimulating experience for seasoned nurses skilled in cardiac care. Your attention to detail and ability to adapt quickly will ensure optimal patient outcomes in this heart-centered setting.
