Job Description:

Join our team as a Labor and Delivery RN in Lewiston, ME, where you will be at the forefront of caring for mothers and newborns in a supportive, well-equipped setting. This assignment offers a chance to work in a Level III Trauma Center with a focus on LDRP model delivery, postpartum, and c-section circulation. You’ll be responsible for triaging obstetrical patients, managing fetal monitoring, assisting with vaginal deliveries, recovering c-sections, and providing postpartum care—keeping the energy high and the patient load manageable with a typical assignment of 3 coupleset assignments per shift. Expect to use your expertise in fetal and maternal health, including managing epidurals, administering antihypertensives and insulin, and performing newborn assessments. This role offers a unique opportunity to practice in a teaching hospital environment, with a focus on continuous learning and skill refinement.

Location: Lewiston, ME
Shift: 12-hour nights, 6:45PM - 7:15AM (rotating shifts with self-scheduling)
