Job Description:

Join us as a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse in Amarillo, Texas, working 12-hour night shifts. This contract immerses you in a busy 35-bed unit specializing in Orthopedic, Neuro, and Medical Surgical care, with telemetry monitored centrally. Your day-to-day will involve managing patient care within a team that includes patient care technicians, transporters, and a floating discharge nurse, all while utilizing EPIC electronic documentation. Experience in EPIC within the last six months is required, along with BLS and NIHSS certifications. This assignment offers a mix of clinical challenge and the chance to be part of a well-supported team in a hospital that values flexibility and diversity in staffing arrangements. Expect to adapt quickly, as float requirements mean you’ll occasionally assist across units of similar or lesser acuity, and you’ll enjoy the professional camaraderie that comes with working in a dynamic surgical environment.
