Job Description:

Step into a specialized ICU setting where you'll work in a combined medical, surgical, and cardiac ICU within a Level 1 trauma center. This contract role involves 12-hour day shifts, primarily rotating nights, where you'll be responsible for managing complex cases including respiratory distress, COPD, overdoses, cardiac arrests, PCI, strokes, seizures, and post-operative cardiac patients such as CABG POD 2 and 3. The unit is equipped with advanced tools like ventilators, line insertion setups, arterial lines, CVP, and Swan-Ganz catheters. With a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2, you're expected to have at least 2 years of ICU experience, ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications, and familiarity with Cerner charting and the Rx station medication system. Floating to PACU may be required, and the environment promises plenty of opportunities to refine your critical care skills in a bustling, high-level trauma hospital with 20 beds on the ICU unit and 202 beds overall.
